The JB-250 brass mortised lid support provides an elegant stop for boxes and cases. The body is mortised into the side, and a flanged cylindrical anchor is pressure fit and glued into the lid. The body measures 73 mm x 6 mm x 13 mm deep. Installation instructions are available in each package.

These are the best lid stays made

We use these lid stays in our shop when we are building custom boxes for people. They are very nice, easy to install and they work like a charm.

Very well designed and beautifully machined brass mechanism. Installation instructions are detailed and easy to follow. This kid stay works very well.

Well made and designed. Installed as instructed, this holds an open lid to about 5 degrees past vertical, perfect for a silverware chest lid that holds 12 heavy knives. very satisfied.

jb-250 lid stay

The brass screws provided were not at all long enough. I had bought these in the past and the screws were longer and appropriate. These new pieces had screws that were only 1/8th longer than the hardware. That is not enough purchase to secure the hardware into the wood. I called Brusso and they sent me new screws.... the same short length as i had. Terrible that I would have to go to the hardware store to buy proper screws.
